Yesterday I browsed the KDE web site and took a look at the latest screenshots. Their effort is great. I saw a lot of cool stuff. However, I am really tired of too many "K"s. Do we really need those? Is it possible to combine most of them, integrate most of them into suites?
Look at Mac. People only use a few apps frequently. More apps do not mean more usability.
